The Heads Up™ Voltage Monitor contains a micro-processor that monitors the output of the charging system and is accurate to within 200 milli-volts. The Heads Up™ Voltage Monitor has a onboard microprocessor that performs a self-test each time voltage is applied. The single, multi-color LED (red-amber-green) visually indicates the state of your motorcycle's battery / charging system. At a glance, you will instantly know whether the voltage is normal or abnormal. Additionally, you will be notified of serious fault conditions by an attention-getting flash of the LED.
Features
• Single Mult-Color LED visual indicator to mount on dash
• Precision microprocessor monitoring
• Automatic self-testing sequence at motorcycle start up
• Auto-dimming - after 8 seconds, LED intensity is dimmed to 50%
• Easy installation - can be mounted virtually anywhere
• Label Included for referencing voltage colors
• Voltage sampling: 50,000 times per second
• Serious fault detection & notification
Voltage Table
• Flashing Green Above - 15.2V
• Steady Green 12.9V - 15.1V
• Steady Amber 12.7V - 12.8V
• Steady Red 12.1V - 12.6V

Great product
Great product. Compact, well designed and constructed, this product performs just a it is supposed to. The initial quality appears to be good, but I have only used this product fro too weeks. Reliability is good.... so far. I installed this product on a slide-in-camper in order to monitor the campers battery voltage to see that it was being charged while traveling down the road. I can monitor the LED in the drivers outside rear view mirror. This is just what I was looking for. JM2C

peace of mind
I thought the lights on my dash would let me know that my stator had fried and my bike was running off of battery only but it did not. It's bad enough paying to replace that stator and or rectifier but adding insult was it killed my 18 month old battery too. This device will alert me to a charging failure and I can minimize the damage by not running the bike until the battery is dead and then needed a tow home. Simple to install and easy to understand the operation. Thanks!

Works fine for a while.
I like the voltage meter however the reason I bought this was to replace the other one I bought four years ago. The LED light came off the two tiny wires and rendered the device useless. I have the hole on my Vespa GTV 300 for it so I decided to replace it.

Great heads up electronics
Having lost the charging system on a Harley a couple of times it was frustrating to say the least.. Stoping for a meal off of the interstate in the middle of bum f@ck Egypt only to find a crapped out charging system on a bike you can't even roll off wants you to push the thing off of the kickstand. I placed a voltage monitor on my 2010 Dresser when I bought it new. 3 years later heading down the interstate to palm beach it started flashing . Of course it was after hours for the Harley shop so I gets a hotel for the night a asap to save the battery.. The next morning I fired it up and headed to the shop and had the repairs made. This thing kept me from getting stuck in the Everglades with a dead battery and live gatters . Thanks Signal Dynamics, for a fine product !!!

could of used a few inches more wire
altogether not a bad unit although i ended up splicing about 6 inches of extra wire on the harness to complete a set up on my 2004 vstar. what could have done also is added a cheap plastic hood to semi cover the light, for daytime and reduced brightness at night time. just saying, hard to see in daytime, bright at night

Works well
Love the voltage monitor - had one on my motorcycle for years and just got one for the boat. Just enough information and easy to interpret. Only one issue: even though it auto-dims, at night it's still too bright and a bit of a distraction.

Easy to install, works great...
I installed this voltage monitor on my 2013 Honda F6B and it really works well. When you install the bezel for the LED, it seems loose in the 1/4" hole you drilled....don't panic because the bezel expands when you insert the LED from the back side and it locks the whole thing in place. Very neat. It also comes with a little metallic sticker with all of the LED colors and what they mean. I put it right next to the LED and it looks good and seems weather resistant. I found the instructions perfect. If you can't find a switched +12VDC source and a good ground, maybe you should ask someone to help.
