The Heads Up™ Voltage Monitor contains a micro-processor that monitors the output of the charging system and is accurate to within 200 milli-volts. The Heads Up™ Voltage Monitor has a onboard microprocessor that performs a self-test each time voltage is applied. The single, multi-color LED (red-amber-green) visually indicates the state of your motorcycle's battery / charging system. At a glance, you will instantly know whether the voltage is normal or abnormal. Additionally, you will be notified of serious fault conditions by an attention-getting flash of the LED.

Easy install
Very easy install, looks good and does exactly what it claims to do.

Instructions insufficient
Most people who buy this product -- perhaps 99.999% of them-- will not be electrical engineers or even electricians. The instructions on where to attach the device are woefully inadequate. A few suggestions to the user, with terms explained, would go a long way toward making a happy customer.

Preventing major electrical failres
I installed this device on my Harley 5 years ago and it has called my attention of early elecrical failure of the alternator giving me time to return home safely.
