  1. Great heads up electronics 5 Star Review

Posted by on 26th Feb 2017

Having lost the charging system on a Harley a couple of times it was frustrating to say the least..
Stoping for a meal off of the interstate in the middle of bum f@ck Egypt only to find a crapped out charging system on a bike you can't even
roll off wants you to push the thing off of the kickstand.
I placed a voltage monitor on my 2010 Dresser when I bought it new.
3 years later heading down the interstate to palm beach it started flashing .
Of course it was after hours for the Harley shop so I gets a hotel for the night a asap to save the battery..
The next morning I fired it up and headed to the shop and had the repairs made.

This thing kept me from getting stuck in the Everglades with a dead battery and live gatters .
Thanks Signal Dynamics, for a fine product !!!

  2. could of used a few inches more wire 2 Star Review

Posted by on 3rd Feb 2017

altogether not a bad unit although i ended up splicing about 6 inches of extra wire on the harness to complete a set up on my 2004 vstar.

what could have done also is added a cheap plastic hood to semi cover the light, for daytime and reduced brightness at night time. just saying, hard to see in daytime, bright at night

  5. Works well 4 Star Review

Posted by on 27th Apr 2015

Love the voltage monitor - had one on my motorcycle for years and just got one for the boat. Just enough information and easy to interpret. Only one issue: even though it auto-dims, at night it's still too bright and a bit of a distraction.

  6. Easy to install, works great... 5 Star Review

Posted by on 1st Dec 2014

I installed this voltage monitor on my 2013 Honda F6B and it really works well. When you install the bezel for the LED, it seems loose in the 1/4" hole you drilled....don't panic because the bezel expands when you insert the LED from the back side and it locks the whole thing in place. Very neat. It also comes with a little metallic sticker with all of the LED colors and what they mean. I put it right next to the LED and it looks good and seems weather resistant. I found the instructions perfect. If you can't find a switched +12VDC source and a good ground, maybe you should ask someone to help.

Very easy install, looks good and does exactly what it claims to do.

  8. Instructions insufficient 4 Star Review

Posted by on 14th Apr 2014

Most people who buy this product -- perhaps 99.999% of them-- will not be electrical engineers or even electricians. The instructions on where to attach the device are woefully inadequate. A few suggestions to the user, with terms explained, would go a long way toward making a happy customer.

  9. Preventing major electrical failres 5 Star Review

I installed this device on my Harley 5 years ago and it has called my attention of early elecrical failure of the alternator giving me time to return home safely.
