OEM Turn Signal Control for Custom and Production Vehicle Applications
The Signal Dynamics OEM Advanced Turn Signal Module is a complete solid-state turn signal controller designed for OEM manufacturers, custom builders, specialty vehicles, and ground-up vehicle projects requiring advanced lighting control functionality.
This module is electronically identical to our Advanced Turn Signal Module, but features a 9-pin connector designed for OEM harness integration and production vehicle applications.
Many OEM manufacturers build custom wiring harnesses that plug directly into the module. For custom builders and retrofit installations, we also offer a mating pigtail connector that can be wired into your vehicle.

Advanced Lighting Control Features
The OEM Advanced Turn Signal Module allows your vehicle’s existing LED or incandescent lights to function as:
- self-canceling turn signals
- hazard flashers
- additional brake lights
- optional running lights
No external flasher relay or load equalizer required.
Compatible with both LED and incandescent lighting systems.
Smart Self-Canceling Turn Signals
The module automatically controls turn signal cancel timing based on how long the switch is pressed.
Short Press
Signals flash for approximately 7 seconds.
Ideal for lane changes.
Medium Press
Signals flash for approximately 20 seconds.
Perfect for normal turns.
Long Press
Signals flash for approximately 75 seconds.
Designed for intersections and extended stops before turning.
Turn signals may be canceled at any time by pressing the same turn signal button a second time.
Built-In Hazard Flashers
Integrated hazard flasher functionality is built directly into the module.
To activate:
- press both left and right turn signal buttons simultaneously for approximately one second
Press both buttons again to cancel hazard mode.
Integrated Brake Light Functionality
The OEM Advanced Turn Signal Module can also convert rear turn signals into additional brake lights to increase rear visibility during braking.
When connected to the brake light circuit:
- rear turn signals illuminate brightly during braking
- turn signal operation is maintained normally
- additional rear lighting helps attract attention from following drivers
Optional Running Lights
Optional running light functionality may also be enabled.
When activated:
- selected lights illuminate at approximately 50% brightness during normal operation
- turn signal and brake light functions continue to operate normally
Settings remain stored in memory even when power is removed.
Designed for Momentary Push Button Switches
The OEM Advanced Turn Signal Module is specifically designed for use with momentary push-button switches.
Compatible switch types include:
- center-off momentary switches
- dual momentary push buttons
IMPORTANT:
Traditional latching switches and push-to-cancel switch systems are not recommended because they continuously supply power to the turn signal circuits and interfere with proper self-canceling operation.
OEM Connector Configuration
Unlike the standard Advanced Turn Signal Module, the OEM version uses a 9-pin connector for easy integration into custom harnesses and OEM vehicle wiring systems.
Many OEM manufacturers build their own plug-and-play harnesses for direct installation into production vehicles.
For retrofit and custom installations, a mating pigtail connector is also available separately.
