The BackOFF™ XP Brake Light Module automatically flashes your brake light(s) to capture the attention of following drivers and to make your motorcycle more visible. When installed, the motorcycle's brake light becomes significantly more noticeable because your brake light(s) will flash with your choice of 2 attention getting patterns. This module is designed to work with standard incandescent brake lights, LED brake lights, or a combination of both (up to 10 amps).
Flash patterns to choose from
Mode 1: Causes your brake light(s) to automatically emit a visual alerting signal of 5 short flashes, followed by 1 steady on light for 4 seconds. This sequence automatically repeats itself as long as the brakes are applied.
Mode 2: Causes your brake light(s) to emit 5 rapid flashes, then remain steady on light as long as you are stopped/braking.
Note: Both Mode 1 and 2 can be used if you have multiple brake lights.
These flash patterns are not random, but have been selected because of their ability to gain and retain following driver's attention. Most states drivers handbooks recommend that you flash your brakes when slowing or stopping. The BackOFF™ XP automatically facilitates compliance and enhances safety. Install the BackOFF™ XP and see how much more effective your brake light can be!
Installation
To install, wire the BackOFF™ XP Brake Light Module in-line with your existing brake light wire. Locate your brake light wire and cut the wire into 2 (use a test light or multi-meter to find proper wire). Choose the mode you would like from the 2 available and connect the mode wire (red/white or white/red) to the wire leading to the rear of your bike, and connect the red wire from the module to the cut brake light wire leading toward the front of the bike. Tap the black wire from the module to a ground wire and read instructions below for the optional yellow wire. Finally peel the paper lining off of the double sided adhesive pad and mount the module to a clean, flat surface. (Be sure to cap off the unused mode wire)

Third time's a charm
This is the third bike I've put it on. a 2012 Honda NC 700X - a 2014 Yamaha FJR & now a 2018 Yamaha Super Tenere ES. Easy install & works great. I would use it on any & all other bikes I may purchase. I believe in being SEEN & this item does the trick.

Third time's a charm
This is the 3rd motorcycle I've put your product on & will again if & when I purchase another bike. Since finding out about your product I've put it on a 2012 Honda NC 700X - 2014 Yamaha FJR & now a 2018 Yamaha Super Tenere ES. I don't believe in the saying "loud pipes saves lives" - I believe in being SEEN by others & this brake light addition does the trick. Besides - there are deaf drivers out there but I don't believe there are any blind ones. Thus I choose to be seen. Highly recommend.

Easy install. Works as advertised!
I installed this module on 2015 Honda Grom. Easy install; basically just connect 3 wires. Works perfectly as advertised with stock Grom LED tail light. I chose to use the second option flash pattern. Changing to the first option would be as simple as undoing one connection and connecting to the other wire. Just what I was looking for to have more conspicuity.

Smart Product
Ive had the Backoff XP installed in my 15’ F150 for about 2 weeks now. Easy to install and I really like the 2 options for flash pattern which is the main reason I chose this product. The simple 2 option choice means I didn’t need to scroll through 100 different patterns and hope I got it right the first time with no need to go back into my wiring to fix it later. I added an LED to make this a great combo towards safety. Thanks

Safety at all costs!
I live in San Antonio & I don’t trust caged drivers to even stop before hitting me from behind., especially at right hand corners. This product makes me feel safer in that it should get the attention of drivers behind me! I like the dual flashing choices.

Potential Life Saver !
The thing works great ! Easy to install in 15 minutes or less. I notice drivers behind me now are keeping their distance. It's like they are not sure if I'm a civilian or a lawman. I like that they approach warily and no longer crowd me at a light. This product should be standard on every street bike.

IT'S A SHOW STOPPER
I bought two XP'S after I confirmed with Porcha at SigDy they work on LED's. Rigged one up on my road bike in Mode 1. Nobody, and I mean nobody got within 15 feet of me at a stop on a 2 hour ride and one was a county Sherriff. Can't wait to rig up my ADV bike. Here in Northern CA we'll spend an hour or more on the road to get to the trails. They work! GREAT!
